English premier league team, Liverpool, would today, Tuesday, take on Italian team, AS Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash at Anfield.
The two teams were paired against each other in the semi-final draws which held at the UEFA headquarters on the 13th of April.
To get to this stage, Liverpool eliminated fellow premier league side, Manchester City, winning on aggregate to book their place in the semi-finals.
Their opponents for the night, Roma, shocked the entire footballing world, by defeating Barcelona in a mind-blowing 3-0 come back win after loosing the first leg by 4-1 to record a 4-4 aggregate score and qualify on away goals.
Liverpool would be hoping their Egyptian star striker, Mohammed Salah, who was recently named the premier league’s player of the season, would continue his rich goal scoring form when the two teams meet.
