Ebonyi State Government Empowers Security Personnel
Two hundred and twenty three spouses of the Army, Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), among others has been empowered by the Ebonyi State government.
The main aim is to put modalities in place for the economic empowerment of the security agency.
Uchenna Orji, the Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Job Creation, made this known while having a conversation with newsmen in Abakaliki on the numerous empowerment schemes of his ministry.
The Commissioner further stated that the beneficiaries of the scheme will be empowered with N250, 000 each, adding that the scheme was to ensure that no segment of the state would be left out in the state government’s policy of ensuring sustainable human capital development.
Orji said the beneficiaries would be selected from and trained in institutions across the three senatorial zones of the state to ensure even spread.
