Two Feared Dead As APC Caucus Meeting Turns Bloody

A stakeholders caucus meeting of the All Progressives People’s Congress in Benue State Zone C held at the Double K resort Otukpo has left two people dead TheNigerian reports.

Eyewitness accounts stated that few minutes after the meeting was concluded gun shots rang out around the Zone C APC Secretariat on Old Otobi Road and one person was confirmed dead on the spot.

One of the victims of the  gunshot wounds who was receiving treatment at a private hospital along federal road in Otukpo later died after losing so much blood.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Otukpo general hospital.

Speaking on the development, the Otukpo Divisional Police Officer, Mr Obo Ukam Obo, said the police were aware of the meeting scheduled for Double K Resort and are shocked that some persons will decide to ferment violence at the parties zonal office.

Mr. Obo said the Division has commenced investigation and those found wanting will be apprehended and prosecuted.
