Femi Adesina: Buhari Said A Lot Of – Not All – Nigerian Youth Are Lazy

 

The Presidency says President Muhammadu Buhari did not refer to all Nigerian youth as lazy in a statement he made on Wednesday during the Commonwealth Business Forum in London.

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said the President only made reference to “a lot of” Nigerian youths and not all of them. He  argued that some people manipulated and twisted the statement.

Buhari Plans To Destroy Nigerian Youths- Kola Ologbondiyan

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says President Muhammadu Buhari is trying to destroy the future and lives of youths in the country.

Through its national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party noted that the youth cannot be described as lazy.

This is coming in response to a comment made by Buhari at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London yesterday.

Police Return Stolen Mace To The National Assembly

The Nigerian Police has returned the recovered mace to the Senate.

The mace was brought to the Senate on Thursday at 12:06 p.m. to senators who received it with relief at the National Assembly.

Naija News had earlier reported that the Senate’s symbol of authority was snatched from the upper legislative chamber by thugs on Wednesday.

Omo-Agege Obtains Court Order To Resist Arrest

A high court sitting in Abuja has granted Ovie Omo-Agege, senator representing Delta central, an interim order that restricts any form of arrest by the police, Department of State Service (DSS) and other law enforcement bodies.

Recall Naija News reported that Omo-agege was alleged to have stormed the senate with thugs and carted away the mace.

Okorocha Imposes ₦3,000 ‘Development Levy’ On Adults In Imo

Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has ruled that”leviable adults” in the state must ₦3,000 each as “development levy”.

The money is said to be used for “autonomous community adult development”, according to Louis Duru, the state commissioner for community government, culture and traditional affairs.
