Security Operatives get 24 Hours Ultimatum To Locate Stolen Mace

Members of the house of representatives, have in a solidarity move with their colleagues in the senate, moved to the senate chamber of the National Assembly.

The Senate chambers welcomed members of the House of Representatives at 11:35pm who expressed solidarity with the senators over the mace theft.

Recall Naija News earlier reported that the National Assembly in Abuja was in commotion as hoodlums stormed the senate floor during plenary, and made away with the Mace.

After the meeting they resolved that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura must collect the mace “within 24 hours.”

Deputy Speaker of the House, Yusuf Lasun, who led the Reps, said without a functional legislative, there would be no democracy.
