Senator Shehu Sani Allegedly Fingered In Murder Case, Invited By Police

Senator Shehu Sani has been invited by the Kaduna command of the Nigerian police over an ongoing homicide investigation.

The state commissioner of police, Austin Iwar has written to the senator asking him to appear on April 30 at the Command Headquarters in Kaduna for questioning.

N-Power Beneficiaries Protest Against Cancellation Of Scheme

Gombe state beneficiaries of the federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power, have protested against any attempt to shut down the scheme.

Their reaction follows alleged attempts by some senators who were trying to undermine the impact of the N-Power Social Investment Programme especially the Gombe State Senator, Danjuma Goje who claimed that he has not seen anyone benefiting from NPower in his State.

Supreme Court Fixes July 6 To Rule On Saraki’s Asset Declaration Case

The Supreme Court has set July 6 to deliver judgment in the appeal filed by the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, challenging the ruling of the Court of Appeal which asked the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to try him on three of the 18 counts brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied nurturing any plan or idea to present President Muhammadu Buhari as the automatic candidate of the party in the 2019 presidential election.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, said yesterday that other interested members of the party had the right to come forth and give Buhari a fight for the APC presidential ticket.
