Many football enthusiasts, particularly the neutrals would not have predicted that the champions league quarter final face off between Liverpool and Manchester City last week would have ended with such a one-sided goal margin.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Liverpool won the first leg match against City by three goals to nil.

Manchester City, who have been dominant in the premier league, and widely expected to be crowned champions at the end of the season, however have their work cut out for them in overturning the deficit, if they are not to be eliminated at this stage of the champions league.

In the other game of the night, Roma will welcome Barcelona to Italy, after loosing the first leg by four goals to one when they visited Spain.

Bayern, Sevilla, Real Madrid, and Juventus will wait till Wednesday before they face off to determine who moves to the next round of the 2017/2018 Champions league tournament.
