A combined team of security personnel from the Department of State Security, Police and Civil Defence are mounting guard within the high court premises, as the trial of Katsina State’s former Governor, Ibrahim Shema, commences amidst tight security.

Naija News recalls that The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) dragged Shema and three others to court last year, on a twenty four count charge of criminal breach of trust and forgery in the misappropriation of local government funds, to the tune of N11bn.
