25 suspects have been arrested While 122.78kg of banned drugs have been seized in Gombe State by the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) since January
Mr Aliyu Adole, the state Commandant of the NDLEA, revealed this in an interview with newsmen in Gombe on Monday.
“Within this period, we removed 122.78kg drugs from circulation.
“In March alone, we recovered 92.39kg compared with February when we had 543g,” he said.
While asking for the help of stakeholders in the state to fight against against drug abuse, he disclosed that the agency have seen to the conviction of 20 people, who were sentenced to various jail terms.
According to NAN, He also advised parents and guardians to ensure that they implore their children and wards not to hangout with gangs who would be bad influence to them.
“I am advising you to talk to your children. If you do not talk to them, somebody outside the family will talk to them and it will be dangerous.
“Politicians have their children in high institutions of learning; if you allow your children to follow bad politicians, you will be the losers,” he said
