Christiano Ronaldo has continued his amazing performance and piling up records has he s he struck twice for title holders Real Madrid in a 3-0 win at Juventus in Tuesday’s quarter-final first leg, thereby becoming the first player to score in 10 successive Champions League games.

Ronaldo grabbed the opener for his team with three minute of the match in Turin and send home the second on the hour with a sensational overhead bicycle kick, taking him to 14 goals in this season’s competition.

After Juventus forward Paulo Dybala was shown red, on 66 minutes, Renaldo set up and assist for Marcelo to crown the humiliation for the Italian team

33-year-old Portugal star had shared the previous record with former Manchester United team-mate Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored in nine consecutive matches between 2002 and 2003.

“We saw what Ronaldo is and always has been – a player of an extraordinary level who along with Leo Messi is achieving the greatest heights,”

“This means they can be compared to Maradona and Pele for the way they ultimately are able to decide matches and trophies won by their teams.”  said Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

With the second leg in Madrid on April 11, The defending champions are now poised to advance to the semi-finals as they host Juventus.

Very shameful defending by Juventus gave Isco the space to slot it in for Christiano Ronaldo opener for Mildrid.

The goal stunned the home crowd with Sami Khedira and Dybala earning a corner and the Argentine looking as though he could break through, but he was quickly closed down by Sergio Ramos.

Defender Giorgio Chiellini also missed a good chance when he misdirected a header from a corner but Real were always menacing and Toni Kroos thumped a rising shot against the bar from 25 metres.

Ronaldo almost added to the tally in the closing minute of the game, but his shot was too high

Though Juve escaped further damage, they face an almost impossible task in next week’s return at Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.
