Kogi Incoming Commissioner Of Police Reportedly Flees

The Kwara State Police Command has revealed that it has arrested five suspected cult members in connection with violence that erupted among suspected Cult members at Agaka area of llorin, the Kwara State capital.

The spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Mr Samuel Okasanmi, who confirmed that more arrest are being made in connection to the violence in the state capital, said the command has deployed its personnel to Agaka to ensure law and order.

He assured the resident of the area that the police is on top of the situation to ensure peace returns to the community, while urging them to go about their lawful business.

According to NAN the Chairman of Agaka Traders Association, Alhaji AbdulRahman Mohamned said the violence has paralysed business activities as most shop owners have deserted the area. He appealed to the police to ensure that peace returns to the area.

Security operatives were seen keeping vigil to ensure maintenance of law and order in the community as the level of commercial activities in the community seems to be very minute.
