Lagosians Groan As Major Roads Remain Closed During Buhari’s Visit
Residents of Lagos state, woke up to a hectic traffic situation following the closure of certain roads as President Muhammadu Buhari visits the state on a two-day official visit to commission some projects and attend the Bola Tinubu Colloquium in celebration of the 66th birth day of the APC national leader.
Thousands of Lagos residents are been forced to trek several kilometres to various destinations as major roads in the metropolis have been locked down by stern-looking military men and other paramilitary personnel.
As earlier reported by Naija News, some of the highways closed as a result of the president’s visit are the ever-busy Lagos-Abeokuta expressway (both ways), Ikeja-Agege motor road, Mobolaji Bank Anthony-Airport road, among others.
The motors plying other routes also have to deal with serious traffic congestion as some of the access roads which would have made commuting easier can not be used.
