FG Declares Friday And Monday As Public Holidays For Easter Celebration

Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2, has been declared as public holidays by the federal government  to mark the Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, communicated this in a statement issued on behalf of the federal government, which was signed by Julie Ejiofor, Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary.

He enjoined the Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to embrace the lessons of love, peace and sacrifice, which Easter represents, and also promote unity and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.

The minister also used the occasion to call on Nigerians to continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He also wishes all Nigerians a Happy Easter celebration.
