Globacom Denies Sacking Married Women
One of Nigeria’s telecom operator, Globacom, has denied reports making rounds on the internet, claiming the telecommunications giant sacked some of its staff because they were married women, Naija News understands.
In a statement, released on its official twitter account, the telecoms company restated its commitment to fair labour practices, stating those affected were sacked for performance related issues.
Globacom has in the recent past let go of employees, both male and female, married and single, due to performance issues. It is not true that this was restricted to married women alone. pic.twitter.com/m6gWtUqmaM
