“Only 5000 candidates Were Admitted Out Of 12,400 Who Applied” ABU

The Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Professor Ibrahim Garba said that only a little above 5000, out of the over 12,400 candidates, who submitted their applications for admission into the schools’ various colleges of education were admitted.

About 172 of the admitted students are at the Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsima, Katsina (IKCOE) undergoing various Degree programmes in affiliation with ABU.

Garba made this known while speaking at the 2nd matriculation ceremony of undergraduate students at the Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsin-ma, Katsina. He noted being admitted was a special privileged that one must uphold and use judiciously.

He said out of over 90,000 othersĀ  who applied to study at the main campus, only a little above 11,000 were admitted.

In his remark, the Provost of the college, Dr. Maigari Abdu said the affiliation with ABU was yielding positive results as the first full session went very well with a high degree of success
