1. Buhari appeals for calm and tolerance as he visits Benue
President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday appealed for calm and tolerance in Benue state and the need to stop escalating clashes between herdsmen and farmers.
The president said this when he met stakeholders in the state, who were led by Governor Samuel Ortom, and comprised lawmakers and politicians, farmers and herdsmen, the clergy, academia, traditional rulers, and civil society organisations.
2. Robbers steal N16m from NNPC station in Kano
Armed robbers on Monday, March 12, in Kano, attacked staff of NNPC Mega filling station in Hotoro area and made away with N16 million.
The incident reportedly happened at 8am when the staff were conveying the money to one of the commercial banks in the area.
3. Kidnappers Abduct The Apostolic Church Pastor In Akwa-Ibom
A group of kidnappers have today 12 March, kidnapped a pastor with The Apostolic Church, Mfon Udoneke, at Akoa Idem in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Reports have it that the kidnappers stormed Udoneke’s residence about 5am and whisked him away in the presence of his family members.
4. EFCC grills Ali-Modu Sheriff for hours in Abuja
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), yesterday, grilled former Borno state governor, Ali-Modu Sheriff on how he raised $72million to buy a G650 Gulfstream aircraft after leaving office in 2011.
Sheriff is also accused of benefiting from $200million released by the Jonathan administration to facilitate Boko Haram ceasefire in a neighbouring country in 2014.
5. Buhari hosts US secretary of state, Tillerson
President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday played host to the United States secretary of state, Rex Tillerson at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The visit is part of Tillerson’s tour of the African continent.
6. Why FG opted for Negotiation over Chibok and Dapchi girls
President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that the federal government opted for negotiation in order to secure the release of the Chibok and Dapchi girls alive.
He said the girls’safety is why they did not use the military option.
7. IGP disobeyed my orders – Buhari
President Buhari, yesterday in Benue state, disclosed that he was unaware that IGP Ibrahim Idris relocated to Nasarawa state when he ordered him to relocate to Benue after the killings in the state.
The president stated this during a chat with stakeholders in Benue yesterday.
8. Buhari Did Not Promise Nigerians Crime-Free Country – Presidency
The Senior Special Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari did not promise an absolute crime-free Nigeria while campaigning for the presidency in 2015.
Shehu stated this while reacting to criticism triggered by the death of several persons from the herdsmen-farmers crisis and other security issues in some parts of the country.

The BB Naija nominations for eviction this week has taken place and all the housemates except Nina and Rico are up for eviction.
Nina enjoys immunity from eviction as Head of House this week but has no powers to save and replace any housemate. Rico also got nominated only once and thereby received the lowest nominations.

Manchester City continued their match towards the English premier league title with a 2-0 win over Stoke City.
David Silva scored a goal in each half of the game to hand victory to City.
