“It Is Exciting To Be One Year Older” Vice President

The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has said that he is excited to be a year older as he turns 61 on the 8th of march 2018.

He spoke at a brief surprise birthday event organised in his honour at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

he Vice-President said, “I am grateful to God for preserving my life. It is just exciting to be one year older.

“I think we are gradually getting to that class of people who are called senior citizens and in some way, it places greater responsibilities on us.

“But I am immensely grateful to God and I thank everyone for the surprise.

“I pray that our country will be greater and greater, that it will prosper and that we will experience true joy and true peace.”

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who led other top government officials and aides of the Vice-President to the event , said he is excited and filled with joy as the Vice President celebrate his special day.

He said, “We are gathered to share with you on this very auspicious day. Our prayer is that God will continue to watch over you, continue to fill you with wisdom and understanding.

“We pray that at every point in time, as you counsel Mr. President, you will give him godly counsel, that he will depend on you for insights into the governance of this country.

“We also pray that for those of us working with you, we will receive direction to take the country forward and to greater heights.
