President Buhari Receives World Cup Trophy, Hosts Chan Eagles And Bobsleigh Winter Olympic Team (Photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari receives the World cup trophy from FIFA representative, France Christian Karembeu.

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday received the FIFA World Cup Trophy ahead of the 2018 World cup tournament in Russia.

The President also hosted the CHAN Super Eagles Team and the record making Bobsleigh Winter Olympic Team in the  State House on 7th March 2018.

Naija News obtained that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, FIFA representative, France Christian Karembeu, President Coca-Cola West Africa Mr Peter Njonjo and Chairman House Committee on Sports Hon. Godfrey Gaiya where with the president at the event.

Naija News earlier reported that the original World Cup trophy arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja,  yesterday, aboard a chartered flight.

The iconic World cup trophy, is on a tour of 91 cities in 51 countries across six continents before the tournament begins in Russia in June.

The trophy is expected to tour Nigeria before departing the shores of the country Saturday evening, Naija News understands.
