Administrators of the federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power have in a statement made available to Naija News, informed female beneficiaries of the scheme who give birth during the scheme that they are eligible to enjoy 3 months maternity leave.

The statement directed such beneficiaries to write a letter to the head of their primary place of assignment (PPA) as well as their state focal person in order to benefit from the leave.

“Good morning,

Reminder: Female beneficiaries who give birth during the course of the programme are entitled to 3 months maternity leave,” the statement reads.

The N-Power Volunteer Corps is the post-tertiary engagement initiative for Nigerians between 18 and 35. It is a paid volunteering programme of a 2-year duration. The graduates will undertake their primary tasks in identified public services within their proximate communities.
