Fani-Kayode Backs Nuhu Ribadu To Emerge New NSA

The Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, today 2 March reacted to new bill proposed by the Nigerian Senate about “Hate speech”.

Recall that Naija News had reported earlier that the Senate passed a bill stating that ” Any one found guilty of hate speech would die by hanging”

Fani-Kayode, on his Twitter page, accused President Muhammadu Buhari of hating free speech and wanted Nigeria to be like North Korea.

“Now they want to pass a law that prescribes the death penalty for calling a demon a demon”.

“They call it “hate speech” because they “hate it” when we call a spade a spade, tell them what they are and expose their barbarity.Buhari wants Nig. to be like N. Korea. He hates free speech!”

The bill which reflects the growing concern over the spate of violence in the nation, was sponsored by the spokesman of the upper chamber, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (APC, Niger).

It also seeks the establishment of a body which it tagged an ‘Independent National Commission for Hate Speeches’, which is expected to enforce hate speech laws across the country, ensure the elimination of the menace and advise the Federal Government.
