The Interior Minister Orders The Immediate Relocation Of The Inspector General Of Police And The Commandant of NSCDC To The Northeast

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt General (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau has directed the Inspector General of Police,  IGP Ibrahim Idris and the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps Abdullahi Mohammad Gana to relocate to the northeast.

This order was included in a Press Statement released by the Press Secretary to the Honorable Minister of Interior, Mr. Ehisienmen Osaigbovo.

NaijaNews learned that the directive was give to ensure that the Police boss and the Commandant of NSCDC liaise with the theater commander of operation Lafiya Dole, the Governors of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states to ensure the deployment of their personnel to all schools in the liberated areas in the three states. This is in the wake of the recent kidnap of 110 girls from their school in Dapchi, Yobe State.

This is sequel to the recent visit of the Federal Government delegation led by the Ministers of Interior and Information and Culture to Dapchi in Yobe state, where the Interior Minister, Lt General (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau then directed the Commissioner of Police and the Commandant of the NSCDC in Yobe state to ensure security presence in all schools in the liberated communities.

According to the Statement, “The directive has become necessary to forestall a re-occurrence of attack on innocent school children”

NaijaNews gathered that the Nigerian Air force has commencement of 24 hours air surveillance to ensure that the Dapchi Girls are found and brought home in no time.

NaijaNews recently reported that Army employs local farmers and fishermen for the search of the missing students.
