Neymar Set To Miss Champions League Clash Against Real Madrid

PSG star, Neymar is set to miss the crucial champions league second leg tie against Real Madrid after suffering a fractured metatarsal and a sprained ankle.

The Brazilian star sustained the injury during PSG’s 3-0 win over Marseille in the French league.

Neymar broke down in tears as he was been stretchered off after his clash with Marseille’s Bouna Sarr on Sunday, with PSG going ahead to win the match by 3 goals to nil.

A statement released on the official PSG website on Monday, confirmed Neymar’s injury.

“Further examinations on Monday (ultrasound and MRI) have confirmed a twisted right ankle and a hairline fracture of the fifth metatarsal.”

PSG would host Real Madrid on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League face off in the French capital of Paris.

PSG lost the first leg by three goals to one in the first leg.
