Neymar Miss Real Madrid Champions League Clash Due to Sprained Ankle Injury

The Ligue 1 leaders,  Paris St-Germain‘ Champions League hopes have taken a heavy blow after their star  striker Neymar  was diagnosed with a cracked metatarsal and sprained in his ankle.

Naija News  understands that the 26-year-old was stretchered off against Marseille on Sunday and there were immediate concerns Neymar would miss PSG’s Champions League decider against Real Madrid on March 6. Those fears have now been confirmed as PSG released a statement on the club website, revealing the results of an ultrasound and CT scan.

PSG are 14 points clear of second-placed Monaco in the league and on 6 March will host Champions League holders Real Madrid, trailing 3-1 from the first leg. Naija News however  also learnt Neymar will also miss the Coupe de France quarter-final on Wednesday as PSG look to beat Marseille for the second time in under a week and book their spot in the final four of the competition.
