Big Brother Naija which resurfaced in 2017, has gotten the attention of many and has made waves for itself on the social media across and outside Nigeria.

The show has become a topic for people to talk about almost everyday because there is always a drama in the house that you can talk about.

With the level of audience the show is getting from the country, it has gotten more people concerned the reason behind the show not been hosted in the country.

The Managing Director of Multichoice Nigeria, John Ugbe sought to provide insights into at the 5th edition of Nigerian Entertainment Conference.

In the statement of the Multichoice Managing Director he said ‘The Big Brother show is being hosted in South Africa because of logistics and production squabbles.

We have the Angolan version, we also have several versions running which are shot in the same house. If we do Big Brother Zimbabwe, or South Africa we still have to take it to South Africa. It doesn’t make any sense to move to every country and shoot a TV series there. If you watch Africa Magic’s ‘Hush’, you will know we shoot it here in Nigeria’.

‘It doesn’t make any sense to build a new Big Brother House in every country, especially with all the production equipment, logistics and thousands of cables to move around. However, most of the producers of the show and the crew are from Nigeria’.
