Four Die Of Meningitis In Niger State

Four Nigerians have died from the outbreak of Cerebrospinal Meningitis in Niger State.

The deaths were recorded in Katcha Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the outbreak to newsmen on Wednesday, the State Commissioner of Health, Dr Mustapha Jibril stated that several other cases have been recorded in the state.

At present, no fewer than 31 cases have been reported in the state, nine of whose laboratory tests have been confirmed with the disease.

Two Local Governments have been reportedly affected by the outbreak comprising are Katcha and Magama Local Government Area, both in Niger state.
