Premier league leaders, Manchester City, on Monday night, suffered a shock defeat in their FA Cup 5th round clash against Wigan Athletic.

Wigan, defeated City in the 2013 finals of the competition and did just enough to dump City out of the tournament yesterday.

A 79th minute Will Grigg goal was all Wigan needed to secure passage into the next round of the competition at the expense of Man. City.

City had earlier been reduced to 10 men after Fabian Delph was given a straight red card for a reckless challenge on a Wigan player, Max Power in the closing stages of the first half.

The defeat means City are no longer in contention for a quadruple this season but still have trophy hopes in the Champions league, Carabao cup where the face Arsenal in the final as well as the premier league title.
