Gunmen Kidnap Oil Businessman In Kogi

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Always Petroleum and Gas, Alhaji Otinau Momoh-Jimoh, has been kidnapped in Kogi State.

Momoh-Jimoh was reportedly kidnapped at about 8pm on Sunday opposite Okene Central Mosque where he was said to very often spend time with friends and business associates.

An eyewitness, identified as Usman Ishaq, disclosed that some armed men invaded the place and fired gunshots to scare people away.

Ishaq said as people were ran for their dear lives, two of the assailants held the oil magnate by the hand and dragged him into a Toyota Camry, driving off to an unknown place.

Ishaq added that the abductors were yet to contact the family members of Momh-Jimoh, who was discovered to be in his early 40s.

Speaking on the abduction, the state Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, stated that the kidnap had yet to be reported to the state command.
