1. Days of Boko Haram are numbered – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja, declared based on the renewed onslaught on Boko Haram by the Nigerian Army, the days of the terror group were numbered.

He made this remark while receiving letter of credence from Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Nigeria, Most Rev. Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi, at the State House.

2. Senator storms JAMB headquarters with anti-snake venoms and snake charmers

Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central, on Tuesday stormed the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) office with anti-snake venom and snake charmers to recover a missing N36m allegedly swallowed by a mysterious snake from the board’s vault.

3. President Buhari hosts Tinubu, Abubakar in the Aso Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday played host to former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar and APC leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in separate meetings.

The leaders met in the presidential villa in Abuja.

4. President Buhari is in a trance – Soyinka

Nobel Laureate and renowned playwright, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is in a trance.

Soyinka, said this in an interview while answering a question on the three things he would tell the President if he meets him.

5. APC kicks against Okorocha’s endorsement of son-in-law as next governor

The purported endorsement of Chief Uche Nwosu, by Governor Rochas Okorocha as the next Imo state governor has ruffled several feathers within the Imo state chapter of the APC as some groups have distanced themselves from the supposed endorsement.

Nwosu is also the current Chief of Staff to Governor Okorocha.

6. Fulani herdsmen agree to obey Benue grazing law

Leader of the NEC Subcommittee on farmers and herdsmen clashes, Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi has disclosed that herdsmen have finally agreed to obey the grazing law established by the Benue state government based on certain conditions.

He made the disclosure in Makurdi yesterday after an exhaustive meeting with all parties in Benue and Nasarawa states.

7. Let Nigeria move forward, Tinubu charges Obasanjo, Babangida

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has called on former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida to join the retirees club.

He made the statement while speaking with newsmen after a closed door meeting with President Buhari in reaction to letters addressed to the President by the two former leaders.

8.  Reps order police to vacate peace corps office within 48 hours

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions has directed the police to vacate the headquarters of the Peace Corps of Nigeria in Abuja which has been sealed by its operatives since February 28, 2017.

The panel gave this directive at a public hearing on Tuesday, after deliberating on a petition written to the House of Representatives last month.

9. Herdsmen attack local government offices in Ondo

Some Fulani herdsmen have allegedly chased out the workers at the Akure South Local Government Secretariat after a disagreement ensued.

The invasion which happened on Tuesday morning left the workers in a state of panic, as workers ran for their dear life, deserting the secretariat.

10. Tottenham hold Juventus in Champions league clash

Tottenham battled back from two goals down to secure a credible 2-2 draw away at Italian giants, Juventus in the first leg of their last 16 champions league clash.

Meanwhile, Manchester City battered Basel 4-0 to almost guarantee qualification for the next round barring any surprise turnaround.
