LG Workers Run For Dear Life Over Disagreement With Herdsmen

Some Fulani herdsmen have allegedly chased out the workers at the Akure South Local Government Secretariat after a disagreement ensued.

The invasion which happened on Tuesday morning left the workers in a state of panic, as workers ran for their dear life, deserting the secretariat.

Following thechaos, the Ondo State Commissioner of police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, and the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Pedro Ideba, deployed officers in the council, restoring normalcy to the secretariat.

There were claims that one of the council was macheted by the herdsmen.

Meanwhile,The members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees are asking the government to act on the matter.
