Lagos: More Than 200 Youths Renounce Cultism In Ikorodu

Over 200 youths have renounced their membership of various groups in Ikorodu in Lagos State.

The youths made the renouncement on Monday, surrendering arms and ammunition to security agencies.

The ceremony was held at the palace of the Ikorodu monarch, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, with the state Police Commissioner, Edgal Imohimi and heads of other security agencies present.

Imohimi disclosed that arms surrendered by the youths comprised 15 locally made long guns, 30 bullets, 11 cutlasses, four axes, four double-barrel guns, five short locally made pistols and one sword.

He stated that he development was as a result of the community policing and community partnership put together by the state police command.
