Missing Policeman’s Body Recovered Without Eyes, Ears, Nose In Benue

Benue State Police Command has said the body of one of its officers declared missing has been found with a mutilated body as the eyes, ears and nose have been removed.

Naija News reported that four policemen went missing after the Saturday night attack on Azege-Ayilamo community in Logo Local Government area of Benue state.

The suspected herdsmen had ambushed a patrol team at Azege-Ayilamo in Logo council area. Subsequently, two of the missing policemen were reportedly rescued on Sunday.

The command spokesman, ASP Moses Yamu, in a statement in Makurdi on Monday lamented the suspected murder of one of the remaining two missing policemen.

He said the retrieved body was found brutally mutilated, with the eyes, ears and the nose removed.

He however, expressed the commitment of the command to ensure the security of lives and property in the state.
