Nigerian Army Deploys Troops to Benue, Taraba, 4 Other States

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai has ordered immediate deployment of troops to Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger and Kaduna states to combat the security challenges in the states.

The Nigerian Army announced the development at a press conference on Wednesday, at its headquarters in Abuja.

The troops will carry out special operations in the affected states in collaboration with other security agencies such as the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) among others.
