Abia Police Arrest Kidnap Gang Disguising As Policemen

Abia State Police  has arrested a kidnap group disguising in the police uniform and carrying AK47 to rob and kidnap residents of the state.

The arrest was made known by the State Commissioner of Police, Anthony Ogbizi.

While addressing journalists at the officers mess, Ogbizi, Umuahia, warned all kidnappers to leave the state because the measures adopted by the command will definitely ensure they are caught/.

The 38-year-old gang leader, Stanley Ifeanyi, who is bus driver from Osisioma Ngwa was said to have been previously sacked from police college for smoking weed.

The ringleader was said to have tried to deny the act by his gang but was found out.

The commissioner further stated that the underground activities of the outlaw IPOB in carrying their threat would not go unpunished as some members were arrested in Aba and hunt for others based on their confessional statement is still ongoing.
