Maryam Sanda Reveals She Is 3 Month Pregnant

Maryam Sanda, was remanded in prison custody after a case of her allegedly killing her husband, the son of former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bilyamin Bello.

Maryam Sanda, was last year reported to have stabbed her husband Bilyaminu Bello to death at their home in Abuja in November, today at the hearing made a shocking confession in court.

During the hearing she revealed that she is three months pregnant for her deceased husband. The trial of Maryam for homicide resumed back today at the FCT High court in Jabi, Abuja after the last hearing.

The alleged ‘killer wife’ begged trial Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja High Court sitting at Jabi to reconsider an earlier application she filed to be released on bail pending the determination of the murder charge against her.

Justice Halilu has adjourned the matter till Wednesday to decide whether or not the defendant should be released on bail based on her pregnancy claim.

Police had through its lawyer, Mr. James Idachaba, opposed Maryam’s fresh bail application, stating that there is no solid evidence placed before the court to prove that she is indeed three months pregnant.
