Raila Odinga Declares Himself As Kenya President

Kenya’s opposition leader Raila Odinga today, January 30, swore himself in as the president of Kenya following last year’s presidential election boycott.

but the main TV stations have been streaming the event on their websites and on YouTube and Facebook.

Speaking to Kenyan broadcaster KTN, Odinga said the media ban had quote-confirmed that Kenya had descended to the level of Uganda, which stopped media coverage during elections in 2016.

He said his “swearing-in” would “show the world that what the opposition was doing is legal, constitutional and not something to be described as a coup.

Meanwhile, there was no police presence to face the early group of Odinga supporters .
