1. President Buhari and Chief Obasanjo meet in Addis Ababa

Few days after Chief Olusegun Obasanjo dropped his 13-page evaluation of the President Buhari led administration, the two leaders have met at the AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The two leaders exchanged banters before they were also joined by another former head od state, Abdulsalam Abubakar.

2. Presidency defends Abubakar’s appointment as NIA boss

The presidency over the weekend, reacted to claims in certain quarters that the recently appointed NIA boss, Ahmed Abubakar was not qualified for the position.

Media aide to President Buhari, made the clarifications in a press statement released to that effect in which he addressed all issues of concern.

3. Kwankwaso vows to visit Kano state despite police warnings

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has declared no one can stop him from going ahead with his planned visit to Kano state.

He stressed he would be coming on a peaceful visit and has no intention of causing trouble with his visit.

4. Security operatives kill Don Waney’s brother, Obatosu

Oluchi Igwedibia, a.k.a Obatosu, who allegedly played a prominent role in the new year killings by Wanny gang in Omoku, Rivers state, has been killed by a combined team of security operatives including DSS and army.

The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has thereafter, commended security operatives for rising to the challenge.

5. Kaduna refinery shut down as fuel shortage persists

Fuel shortages across the country may worsen over the coming weeks as the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) has shut down operations due to lack of crude oil.

This was confirmed by the Executive Director, Services, of KRPC, Abdullahi Idris, who said the Kaduna refinery was shut down two weeks ago.

6. APC wins all councillorship seat in Osun state.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner in all the 389 wards in Osun State in the Local Government election held across the state on Saturday.

This was disclosed by the  Chairman of Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) , Mr Segun Oladitan, who confirmed that only 71 candidates went into the contest, while 318 returned unopposed.

7. Millions of Nigerians to join APC soon –  Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed belief that millions of Nigerians from all parts of the country would join the ruling All Progressives Congress in the next few months.

Buhari said this in a letter he sent to Senator Basheer Mohammed, who recently defected to the party in Kano.

8. Bruno Mars wins big at the Grammy awards

The 2018 Grammy awards ceremony held over the weekend with many celebrities in attendance.

Bruno Mars appeared to be the biggest winner on the night as he claimed six Grammy awards.

9. Big Brother Naija season 3 debuts on TV screens

A brand new season of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, made its debut on TV screens yesterday evening.

The housemates have been revealed to the public and are now on a journey to win the coveted N45m cash prize.

10. Super Eagles record come back win against Angola to soar into CHAN semi-finals

The home based Super Eagles, at the ongoing CHAN tournament, defeated their counterpart from Angola to qualify for the semi-final stage of the competition.

The Eagles had to come from a goal down before going on to win in extra time.
