The 0-0 draw played by Chelsea and Arsenal in the first leg of their EFL cup semi-final clash at the Stamford Bridge, set up a perfect game for the two club’s clash at the Emirates stadium on Wednesday.
Chelsea took the lead as early as the seventh minute of the game through an Eden Hazard goal assisted by Pedro.
Parity was however restored minutes later when Antonio Rudiger put the ball in his own net to record an own goal and bring the scores level at 1-1.
Arsenal scored the winning goal of the game in the 60th minute of the second half through Granit Xhaka to end the game at 2-1 at the final blow of the whistle.
The win would now see Arsenal take on Manchester City who had earlier defeated Bristol City 5-3 on aggregate in the finals of the cup tournament.
The final will be played at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday 25th February, 2018 by 5:30pm.
