L-R: Presidential aspirant, Sule Lamido and Gov. Nyesome Wike

The Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, on Wednesday visited Rivers State Governor, Nyesome Wike to inform him about his 2019 presidential ambition.

Naija News gathered that Mr. Lamido, who was received by Mr. Wike at the State Government House, Port Harcourt, said he would work with other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders to transform Nigeria, adding that the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) is a party of hate and deceit that should be fired in 2019.

Mr. Lamido said he is vying for the presidential seat in 2019 because the nation deserves to grow and develop, adding that he possesses the ability to take the nation out of hardship.

He said: “I want to run because I feel I can do it. I have the pedigree. We stand to fight for democracy and the restoration of Nigeria”.

Mr. Wike, in his remarks, said though PDP made mistakes in the past, it remains the only party with committment and patrotism that can rescue the country out of the current situation.

He said that the APC is a party of deceit that engages in high level intimidation, corruption and dirty political schemes to compel defection of PDP members to her fold.

“If you decamp to the APC, you are no longer corrupt. APC is a party of daylight deceit. I am happy that one of those who left to bring a messiah, have realised that the so-called messiah they brought is no longer the messiah Nigerians expect. PDP is the only hope for Nigeria”, he said.

The governor therefore, commended Lamido for being a committed and consistent PDP member who has the ability and courage to wrest power from APC in 2019.
