The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service has sealed off two branches of a new generation bank in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

The branches of the bank were sealed for allegedly withholding tax on bank interest for two years.

Effecting the seal order obtained from a court, the head of the enforcement unit of KWIRS, Abdulateef Okandeji noted that it has been a running battle with the management of the bank for its refusal to pay the 2013 and 2014 taxes despite agreeing to settle out of court.

The general manager of the bank refused to speak with journalists.
