Taraba State Police has arrested three individuals, linked to a dead body found in Monkin village in the state.
In a statement today, Tuesday, by the Commissioner of Police in Taraba, Dave Akinremi disclosed the arrest during a press briefing in Jalingo.
Akinremi stated that police officers attached to Zing Division had on Monday arrested three persons in relation to the discovery of a corpse alleged to have been killed by unknown persons at Monkin village, but some angry youths demanded that the suspects be handed over to them for a jungle justice.
He cautioned that “I want to warn miscreants who take delight in attacking police formations that the command will not be cowed in performing her constitutional duty and will deal decisively with whoever that is involved.”
Meanwhile, the CP also disclosed that the command had on Monday apprehended 9 persons in relation to the burning of a police station in Zing.
