Four Robbers Shot Dead In Rivers

Police in Rivers State on Monday killed four suspected armed robbers who had been terrorising residents of Adam community, in the Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State.

Naija News learnt that the gunmen had lodged in a hotel after carrying out a robbery attack when policemen trailed them to the hotel in Oyigbo.

According to a source, the policemen attached to Adam Police Station shot the robbers dead before they could pick their guns.

The source said, “The policemen overpowered them inside the hotel before they could return fire.”

It was learnt that the bodies of the robbers were taken to Adam Police Station in Oyigno.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident but he said he would speak after getting details from the Afam DPO.
