1. Taraba state disagrees with FG over cattle grazing colonies

The Taraba State Government on Wednesday said the state had no land for cattle colonies.

This was disclosed by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Yusufu Akirikwen.

2. 12 killed in Maiduguri suicide bombing

At least 12 people were killed on Wednesday when a suicide bomb exploded around Muna Garage area of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, officials have said.

The explosion occurred at about 5:05 p.m., according to a statement by Abdulkadir Ibrahim, spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

3. Militants threaten fresh attacks on oil installations

Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has threatened to resume devastating attacks on the nation’s critical oil assets should President Muhammadu Buhari, continue to ignore calls for restructuring in the country.

4. Kidnappers abduct 2 Canadians and 2 Americans in Kaduna

Gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, on Tuesday abducted two Americans and two Canadians on Kwoi-Jere Road in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State as they made their way back to Abuja after inspecting a project in Kaduna.

The police team escorting the expatriates were reportedly shot dead before the abductors kidnapped their victims.

5. Gov. Obiano promises to jail corrupt officials in his administration

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has said that he will ensure that any corrupt official in his government goes to jail.

A Senior Special Assistant to the governor on media and strategic communication, Mr Oliver Okpala, on Wednesday in a statement in Awka, said that the governor made the statement during an executive council meeting.

6. Nigerian Air Force bombs Boko Haram workshop

A remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), belonging to the Nigerian Air Force, yesterday destroyed a Boko Haram workshop in the Sambisa area of Borno state.

Air Vice Marshal, Olatokuno Adesanya, Director of Public Relations and Information, confirmed this in a statement.

7. Ohanaeze Rejects FG Cattle Grazing Colonies

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization, has described as unacceptable, the plans by the federal government to create grazing colonies for the use of herdsmen.

The group also vowed to resist attempts by the government to take over their lands under the pretense of setting up grazing colonies as it maintained it would be at the detriment of other ethnic groups should the plans be allowed to go ahead.

8. Nollywood producer, Chukwuka Emelionwu dies In fatal accident

Nollywood film maker, Chukwuka Emelionwu popularly known as Kasvid, who was the producer of the popular Nollywood movie “Mr Ibu In London” has died.

He reportedly lost his life yesterday in a fatal accident along Oraukwu, on his way to his village in Anambra state.

9. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian welcome third child

Popular American rapper, Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian on Monday, welcomed their third child via a surrogate mother.

Excited Kardashian announced the birth on one of her social media accounts.

10. Walcott trades Arsenal for Everton in £20 million deal

Theo Walcott has completed a move from Arsenal to Everton on Wednesday in a deal reportedly worth £20 million.

The 28-year old has found game time limited this season under Arsene Wenger.
