Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed

Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has today, Thursday, dissolved the state’s executive council.

The dissolution of the council was announced by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Isiaka Gold.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the state capital, Gold stated that affected by the dissolution comprised:19 Commisioners, 16 Special Advisers (SA), seven Senior Special Assistants (SSA) and eight Special Assistants (SA).

Among those affected is actor and movie producer, Femi Adebayo, who was the Special Assistant(SA) on Arts, Culture, and Tourism to Gov. Ahmed

The SSG included that Gov. Ahmed had instructed all commissioners to hand over to permanent secretaries of their ministries.

Gold stated that the Kwara Governor also assured residents that additional measures had been devised to sustain government activities, pending the reconstitution of the state’s executive council.

Meanwhile, Gov. Ahmed appreciated the former executive council members, special advisers and assistants for their service and contributions to Kwara, while wishing the former commissioners, advisers and assistants the best of luck in their future endeavours, Gold said.
