Fuel Scarcity: Ogun Govt Sets Up Task Force Charged To Provide Petrol In 48 Hours

The Ogun state government has instituted a joint task force with the goal of ensuring fuel is available in the state within the next 48 hours.

The Task Force is a combination of men of the Nigeria Police,  Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), oil and gas trade associations, without leaving out the public and civil servants.

The Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, inaugurated the committee on Tuesday.

Adeoluwa expressed concern over the looming fuel scarcity, saying the government has been have meetings  with relevant stakeholders, particularly the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), to tackle the challenge since it started.

Hence the committee has been inaugurated to devise ways of making Premium Motor Spirit available for the residents of Ogun state.
