NSCDC Discovers, Cuts Off Boko Harm’s Fuel Supply In Borno

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps has intercepted the fuel supply to the Boko Haram terrorist sect.

Addressing a press conference in Maiduguri on Tuesday,

The Borno State Commander of the corps, Abdullahi Ibrahim, made the disclosure today Tuesday, during a press conference.

Ibrahim stated that fuel supply to the insurgents was smashed by the NSCDC during its recent operation along the border of Sambisa Forest, where the latest scheme of the deadly sect was uncovered.

The Borno Commander of the corps said some commercial vehicles plying Maiduguri-Damboa-Biu highway werefilling kegs with petrol and wrapingp them in a sack, after which they drop it at designated spots on the road where the insurgents pick them up and drop their money.

Ibrahim, who lamented that the corps was unable to nab any suspect in the act as they escaped upon sighting men of the command. He displayed some of the kegs filled with petrol wrapped in sacks to journalists.

The Command also paraded to journalists, a land scammer, Alhaji Babakaka Baitu, alleged to have duped unsuspecting members of the public of over N20m.

He said though Baitu had been wanted by the security for nine months, it had been difficult to arrest him as he kept changing residence within Maiduguri.
