Youths Beat Up Soldier For Wooing Married Woman

A yet-to-be identified soldier has been attacked by the angry youths in Gadumo community, Lokoja, Kogi State, for allegedly wooing a married woman.

Naija News gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday close to the Master Energy Filling Station in Gadumo.

According to a witness, the soldier came from Lagos and was fond of making erotic advances to the girls in the village.

He said the soldier did same to a married woman, who refused, saying she was married.

The witness said when the soldier persisted, the woman reported to her husband, who confronted him.

He said, “The woman’s husband confronted him and an argument ensued. Angry youths in the area, upon getting wind of the incident, mobilised and fought the soldier. He was given serious beating, but was later rescued and taken away by his colleagues.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Williams Aya, said the command had yet to be briefed about the incident.

However, he said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of C Division visited the scene of the incident and was told that the soldier had been taken away by the army.
