Tinubu Is Capable, Peter Obi Not Destined For Presidency In 2023 – Ohanaeze Ndigbo

An Igbo association called Ohanaeze Ndigbo has charged  President Muhammadu Buhari to with immediacy tackle the challenge of incessant killings of Nigerians by suspected herdsmen across the nation.

The Anambra State chairman of the organisation, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene made the call in Awka,, stating that the South Eastern people could not afford for their people to be massacred in cold blood.

The Ohanaeze leader, who was reacting to the rising tension in Aguleri  Anambra East LGA  between the herdsmen and the community, said the president should speak out on the issue.

“The idea is to stem indiscriminate killing of Nigerians across the country.”

Ogene enjoined the South East Governors to rise to the challenge and avoid the mayhem before it could get too late.

He stated that “Ndigbo cannot afford to go into another civil war over Fulani herdsmen”, while noting that the issue can be controlled at this stage.

He however, applauded the Gov. Obiano-led government for effectively managing the herdsmen-community relationship in the state, adding that the FG should borrow a leaf from Anambra.

He said that Anambra had been the most politically stable state in the country and praised security agencies for exhibiting high level of political maturity during the governorship election.
