Killers Of Kachikwu’s Uncle Sentenced To Death

The killers of Diokpa Felix Boise, the 75- year- old uncle of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu, have been sentenced to death by a Delta State High Court.

Naija News gathered that the three defendants – Sunday Luka, 32, Danjuma Kaika, 37, and Luka Agu, 33, who all claimed to hail from Nasarawa State were convicted to death after they were found guilty of the crime.

According to The Nation, they murdered the victim in his farm on June 9, 2014 and whisked away his Kia Rio car.

The trio who used to be labourers in the deceased farm were arraigned on four- count charge bordering on conspiracy to commit murder, murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Justice C.I. Ogisi, in his verdict said that he lacked the discretionary power to reduce the sentence.

He therefore, convicted the 1st and 2nd accused persons on all the charges, discharged the 3rd accused person on count 2 and 4 but was convicted on count 1 and 3.
