Pogu’s family member commends Nigerian Army

Mr Ayuba Aloson, a relative to one of the kidnapped Chibok School girls on Friday commended the effort of the Nigerian Army over the rescue of Salome Pogu.

Naija News reported that Pogu was rescued yesterday by the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in company of another girl, Jamila Adams, at Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno.

Alonson said that he was a family member of Pogu and added that four of his nieces abducted in the school were still in Boko Haram custody.

Recall that 219 girls were in April 2014 abducted by Boko Haram terrorists at Government Secondary School, Chibok.

It was learnt that Aloson was elated at the development and optimistic that the remaining girls in Boko Haram captivity would be released soon.

He also commended the committment of the military over the rescue of the girls.

“I am happy over the development; our abducted daughters are still with their captors. This demonstrates the commitments of the military to the rescue of the girls,” he said.

Aloson is among thousands of displaced persons taking shelter in Maiduguri host community.
