Yobe govt donates 20 vehicles to Nigerian Army.

Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Geidam on Thursday donated 20 Hilux vehicles worth N350 million to the Nigerian Army.

The governor, who handed over the keys to the vehicles to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, at Government House in Damaturu, said the donation was to intensify the military’s fight against Boko Haram insurgents and combat other crimes in the state.

Naija News learnt that Buratai was in the state in continuation of his tour of military formations and visit to troops in frontline in the North East.

Geidam revealed that the state had donated 300 vehicles to the army and other security agencies so far.

The chief of army staff, in his remark, hailed the governor for his commitment to the security of the state and the country as a whole.

Buratai recalled that the state government had also donated lands to the army to build the Nigerian Army School of Special Forces at Buni Yadi and Army Level 2 referral hospital, close to the state capital.
